Seth Reynolds
Owner
Seth Reynolds owns Funhouse Tattoo and Redemption Ink. Polynesian and tribal work is where he feels at home. He studied illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, and brings that drawing background to the pieces he makes here.
Leo Cadenazzi
Tattoo artist
Leo Cadenazzi is the senior artist at Funhouse. He trained in art schools in Brazil, and black and grey realism is his lane: portraits, animals, and shading soft enough to look like a photograph but built to hold its contrast as it heals.
Skott Kautman
Tattoo artist
He takes on pieces other shops have turned down, draws a free design for custom work, and holds himself to one standard: crisp, clean and bright. Reworks of old tattoos are a specialty.

His promise is plain: clean, solid tattoos in whatever style you bring him, drawn to read at arm's length and to age well. First tattoos, matching pieces for couples and families, and walk-ins are his daily work, and he tattoos on both sides of Garnet Avenue.
A Pacific Beach tattoo shop since 1998, and a second one across the street
Funhouse Tattoo opened at 1453 Garnet Ave in 1998, on the palm-lined stretch of Garnet Avenue a few blocks from the pier. The artists have changed over the years; the way we work has not: one artist per client, a free consultation first, a drawing you approve before anyone picks up a machine.
In 2017 we opened Redemption Ink across the street at 1440 Garnet Ave as a second shop and a place for visiting artists to work when they come through San Diego. It started as the Funhouse Tattoo Guesthouse and kept the idea: a rotating guest spot beside the resident crew, which it still has.
Our partner studio Embellish PB handles piercing, microblading and tattoo removal, so when someone needs those we send them there. When a cover-up needs lightening first we coordinate the timing with them, so the new piece goes onto healed skin and both shops stay what they are: tattoo shops.
Licensed, registered, and set up in front of you
Every artist is registered with the county health department, and both shops are licensed tattoo facilities. Needles and tubes are single-use and opened at your station; everything that touches you is disposable or sterilized.
You sign the release on our iPad, see the stencil placed before anything starts, and leave with written aftercare and the products to do it. If anything about a station looks wrong to you, ask; the artist will show you the sealed needle.

Are Funhouse Tattoo and Redemption Ink the same business?
Same owners, two addresses facing each other on Garnet Avenue, and a roster that overlaps. Redemption Ink is also where guest artists work when they visit.
